Mexe is a Mexican kitchen in Chennai and was built keeping young customers in, and having a vibrant, fun feel while including aspects of Mexican cuisine and its landscape. I started researching Mexican food, its landscapes and visual elements and picked up specific elements that suited the brief. Some of them included nachos, sombrero, cactus, the desert, the sun and Día de los Muertos festival.

The final branding system included the logo which is inspired by the desert sun and the iconic cactus. The branding system was further developed with a colour palette, hand drawn illustrations of different cacti and Mexican food. This branding system was later extended to the menu design, the packaging, the uniforms and interiors.
